Our Social Responsibility includes the important initiative of volunteering and participating in hundreds of events annually across South Texas.
At LSNB, our employees enjoy donating time and energy towards greater causes that they believe in, our volunteers help change the lives of our community members and for that, we are most grateful! Our running team has been in existence for more than 12 years and we have more than 100 employees actively involved in wellness initiatives within city programs from San Antonio to Brownsville and McAllen. From volleyball, softball, basketball, paddle ball and more, our employees work hard and play hard.
And volunteerism is at the heart of LSNB’s commitment to community outreach. In 2024 alone, our employees dedicated more than 8,000 hours to community service, supporting causes that matter to them. Whether participating in local initiatives, serving on committees and boards, or leading charitable efforts, our team’s passion for service drives meaningful impact. At LSNB, we take pride in giving back, ensuring we remain a strong and compassionate force in the communities we serve.
Mission Statement
Our goal in volunteerism is to ignite lasting change and foster a culture of giving back to our South Texas communities, and improve the communities in which we live in. We strive to empower our employees to actively engage and invest their time, skills, and passion in meaningful volunteer initiatives that uplift and strengthen the communities we serve. Through our dedicated efforts, we aim to create positive impact, championing causes that drive social progress, education, and sustainable economic development. Together, we envision a brighter future, driven by our commitment to serving others and making a profound difference in the lives of those around us.
Objective
Our priority is to strengthen the bank’s commitment to the community by actively participating in and contributing to local nonprofits. This helps build a positive image in the community and demonstrates the bank’s investment in local welfare. Volunteering also offers employees a chance to develop new skills, such as leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving in a non-corporate setting. It also helps employees make sound decisions, motivate one another, and build organizational unity.
