March For Babies (Hidalgo County) May 17, 2009
The March for Babies walk in Hidalgo County took place on Sunday May 17th, 2009. LSNB employees and family members joined 1 million people walking with their families or co-workers in more than 900 different communities around the country this year. This fundraising event presented by March of Dimes started in1970 and has since raised an incredible $1.8 billion to benefit all babies. Lone Star National Bank had over 50 participants in the March for Babies walk this year.

Easter Seals Telethon May 2, 2009
Easter Seals helps individuals with disabilities and special needs, and their families to live better lives. Lone Star National Bank proudly participated in the Easter Seals Telethon on Saturday, May 2nd 2009 on Channel 5 to help raise money for this special organization.

March For Babies (Cameron County) April 25, 2009
March for Babies is an annual walk presented by the March of Dimes. The money LSNB participants raised supports programs in our community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. The money also funds research to find answers to the problems that threaten babies born prematurely. Lone Star National Bank is a proud sponsor of March of Dimes and participates in this great event every year.

RGV Food Bank January 17, 2009
LSNB Participates RGV Food Bank Sort-A-Thon January 17, 2009 LSNB had almost 40 volunteers including employees and their friends and family join in to help the Food Bank! Overall the RGV Food Bank had 203 people come in during the 24 hour period. A total of 750 large boxes of food were sorted during the weekend. This total makes 64,000 meals available to those in need.

Renee's Thanksgiving Lunch November 26, 2008
On Thanksgiving Day Renee's of Sharyland hosted their annual Thanksgiving Lunch serving 1,200 lunch plates to needy people from the Valley. Lone Star National Bank partnered up with Renee’s of Sharyland as a big sponsor of the event and also had volunteers there to lend a hand. Sixteen of our employees and their family members from different branches woke up early to give back to our community on that special day. Our great employees helped set-up for the entire event that morning making it a huge success.

Corporate Olympics June 6, 2008
Every year Lone Star National Bank employees along with other corporations gather at Fireman's Park in McAllen for a fun filled night of competition organized by the McAllen Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Lone Star National Bank is a proud sponsor of the McAllen Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and took this great opportunity to network with other organizations, enjoy a little friendly competition but most importantly to have fun. Special Congratulations to our LSNB TEAM! Our team placed 2nd OVERALL!

March for Babies April 20, 2008
Lone Star National Bank is a proud sponsor of the March of Dimes organization, and the annual March for Babies walk. Lone Star National Bank participated on Sunday, April 20th at the Municipal Park in McAllen. Thirty-two employees and their families organized and participated in this great event. All the funds raised by LSNB helps the organization continue working on vital research, education, community services and advocacy programs. Lone Star National Bank is proud of its continued commitment to saving babies.

Monica & Maggie's House Celebrity Waiter Dinner April 3, 2008
Lone Star National Bank helped raise money by participating in the Teens Helping Kids Celebrity Waiter Dinner in Brownsville, TX. The Lone Star National Bank table had a Dallas Cowboy theme. The event raised $42,000 for Monica & Maggie's House and the Teens raised $19,000 in tips that night for other children organizations across the Valley. Lone Star National Bank Employees changed job duties for the day as they took food orders, cleaned up, and waited on guests for this fun experience. Monica's House in Brownsville and Maggie's House in San Benito are part of the Cameron County Children's Advocacy Center. The centers provide on-going treatment for each child's needs and their advocacy plays a major role in more effective prosecution of offenders. Lone Star National Bank has been an ongoing supporter of Monica & Maggie's House and it's commitment to children.

Fishing for Hope March 29, 2008
Lone Star National Bank presented Fishing for Hope a $6500 check for their 2008 fundraising efforts at the RGV Vipers game on Saturday, March 29th. This donation will mark the 3rd consecutive year that Lone Star National Bank supports Fishing for Hope, a non-profit organization that raises money to help needy families across the RGV pay for medical expenses.

VAMOS Golf Tournament March 1, 2008
VAMOS scholarship fund has been providing students from the Rio Grande Valley the funds necessary to achieve their goals and dreams of pursuing a higher education. Lone Star National Bank recognizes the outstanding work of the VAMOS scholarship fund and has been a strong supporter since it began in 1996. This year Lone Star National Bank employees volunteered in VAMOS's largest fundraising event, the VAMOS Annual Golf Tournament. Over 45 employees gave up their Friday Night and Saturday to help raise funds for Valley Students this year. Lone Star National Bank believes every student deserves the opportunity to attain a college education.
